What are x-s and x-t on Xiaohongshu? (2026)
As of 2026, x-s and x-t are signature headers on the requests Xiaohongshu's web pages send. We found no public explanation from Xiaohongshu; open-source projects add them to each request, with x-s-common. With a data API you do not produce them: a page of search is $0.0200, and you send only your key and a keyword. DataXAPI reads Xiaohongshu (RedNote) with 21 endpoints, from $0.0200 a call; a failed call is not charged.

Why you run into them
They come up when your own program reads Xiaohongshu, or when a tool you run stops getting answers. MediaCrawler sets X-S, X-T, x-S-Common and X-B3-Traceid on its requests. The xhs library has an error of its own for a bad x-s, SignError, and names code 300015 SIGN_FAULT. A request that is stopped may also show status 461 or a code such as 300013, which are other matters. How these headers are worked out, and how long one lasts, is not something we cover.
If you would rather not deal with them
Each job is one call at $0.0200: xiaohongshu.notes.search with a keyword, xiaohongshu.notes.get with a note's link, xiaohongshu.notes.comments.list for its comments, xiaohongshu.users.notes.list for an account's notes. None takes a signature, an account or a cookie from you. A failed call is not charged, and 1,000 calls come to $20.

Each with its price; every page has the parameters, the fields and a recorded response.
