Are data APIs like DataXAPI compliant? (2026)
We cannot give you that verdict: it depends a good deal on what you take and what you do with it, and this is not legal advice. What we can say is what DataXAPI does: it takes public data only, uses no account of yours, is not an official service of any platform, and leaves the rights for your use to you. DataXAPI reads Xiaohongshu (RedNote) with 21 endpoints, from $0.0200 a call; a failed call is not charged.

What is on our side, and what is on yours
For the points to look at, see the answer “Is it legal to collect public Xiaohongshu and Douyin data through a third-party API?”. For a company's own review, bring this page and our policy to your lawyer.
| We | You |
|---|---|
| Take public data only: no private accounts, private messages or deleted content | Use it lawfully, for what you have the right to do |
| Do not ask for your account or cookie | Do not submit platform passwords, cookies or private logins |
Let a call's result be read again by its request_id for 24 hours | Keep only what your use needs, and handle personal information under the law that applies to you |
| Take complaints from anyone whose rights are affected, with no account needed | Do not build files on individuals, track people or resell access as it is |
Worth knowing before you decide
A call that works is not the platform's permission, and our policy says so: “Access to data does not by itself grant rights to redistribute, resell or train on the underlying content.” If your company must have written authorisation from the platform, this is not the service for that.
