What is CPE on Xiaohongshu PGY and on Douyin Xingtu?
Both are a cost per engagement, but they divide different amounts. PGY's post-campaign CPE divides all the ad spend on a note by its interactions; Xingtu's divides the task amount by likes, comments and shares. The two figures are not to be compared directly. DataXAPI reads Xiaohongshu (RedNote) with 21 endpoints, from $0.0200 a call; a failed call is not charged.
The two definitions
On Xingtu, Douyin's creator marketplace, the help centre defines a finished task's CPE as the task amount over likes plus comments plus shares, and its CPM as the task amount over views, times 1,000. Before a campaign it shows an expected CPE, worked out from the rate, the expected views and the recent engagement rate, as its in-page help puts it.
On PGY (蒲公英), Xiaohongshu's creator marketplace, the in-page help defines the post-campaign CPE as all ad spend on the note, once it is used as ad material, over its interactions. For its medians it counts an interaction as a like, save, comment, share or follow.

What DataXAPI returns
douyin.xingtu.creators.metrics returns Xingtu's expected figures for a creator: cpe_21_60s, cpe_over_60s, cpm_21_60s and cpm_over_60s, in the currency given. The names follow the old rate types: since 2026-08-18 Xingtu calls the former 21–60 second rate 植入视频 (integrated video) and the former over-60 second rate 定制视频 (custom video).
The PGY endpoints return no CPE. xiaohongshu.pgy.creators.metrics gives the engagement_rate and median interactions of a creator's everyday notes; xiaohongshu.pgy.creators.search in the full view gives the rates (ext.rate_image_note, ext.rate_video_note) and ext.median_engagements. Neither marketplace's post-campaign CPE of your own orders is read here.
