Terms of service

Last updated 2026-10-13.

In plain words
  • You pay per call, out of a balance you top up in advance, in US dollars. There is no subscription.
  • Your balance never expires.
  • Top-ups are final: money you top up is not paid back, in whole or in part.
  • A call that fails, times out, or whose outcome is uncertain is never charged.
  • Every response states what it cost.
  • We return publicly visible data only, and you must use it lawfully.
  1. The service

DataXAPI is operated by Aurevant LLC, a Wyoming (USA) limited liability company with its registered address at 32 N Gould St, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA (“we”). It gives your code and your AI agents access to publicly visible data from third-party platforms, through an API, an MCP server, SDKs and a command-line tool. Each endpoint is described in the catalog with its parameters, the fields it returns, its price and when it is charged.

We are not affiliated with the platforms the data comes from, and we are not endorsed by them. Their names and marks belong to their owners and are used only to say where data is from.

These Terms, the Privacy policy and the Acceptable use policy together describe your rights and obligations. Do not create an account or top up if you disagree with them. Anyone acting for an organization must have authority to do so. The service is for developers and business users with the legal capacity their use requires; it is not directed to children.

  2. Accounts and keys

You sign in with a 6-digit code sent to your email address, or with Google. There is no password. One account holds one balance. A new account may receive a small free credit once; signing up again with the same email address does not bring a second one.

You may create several API keys and give each a spending limit, an expiry date and the endpoints it may call. A key authorizes data calls; it does not manage the account.

Protect your email, your sessions and your keys. Do not put a key in a public repository or in an application you do not trust, and do not sell or rent keys. You are responsible for calls made with your keys. If a key leaks, disable it in the Console; calls made before it was disabled remain charged. If you think a key was used without your authority, write to support@dataxapi.com and we look at the facts of the case.

We limit how fast an account may call. Every response states the limit, what is left of it and when it resets. A call over the limit is refused and is not charged.

  3. Prices and billing

Prices are in US dollars and exclude tax. The price of an endpoint is the one published in the catalog and on the pricing page when the call starts. A lower price applies at once; a higher price is announced at least 7 days ahead, with the day it takes effect. A price change never alters a call that is already settled.

A call is charged when it returns data. A call that fails, times out, or whose outcome is uncertain is not charged. An empty result is charged only where the endpoint says so before you call. Every response states what it cost and the balance left.

When a call starts we hold its highest possible cost from your balance, settle the actual amount when it ends, and release the rest. Your balance cannot go below zero: a call that the balance or the key’s limit cannot cover is refused, and the reply states the balance, the amount needed and where to top up.

Whether a call was charged is what its record in the Console says, by its request_id. Do not infer a charge, or the absence of one, from a timeout or an error on your side.

  4. Payments are final

You top up in advance. There is no subscription and nothing renews by itself. The amounts you can top up, and any bonus that comes with them, are shown on the pricing page and again before you pay. Money is added to your balance once the payment provider confirms the payment, not when a success page is shown.

Top-ups are final. Money you top up is not paid back, in whole or in part, and there is no period in which it can be returned. You can try the service with the free credit before you decide to top up.

Your balance never expires. Free credit and bonus credit have no cash value and cannot be withdrawn or transferred. The balance pays for calls to this service only; it earns no interest and cannot be moved to another person or account. Free credit is spent first, then the money you topped up, then bonus credit.

If we charged a call by mistake, write to support@dataxapi.com with the call’s request_id. Staff check the call and put that amount back on your balance.

Payments are handled by Stripe. Your bank or the payment provider may apply its own exchange rates and fees, which we do not control. If a payment is reversed by the payment provider or disputed through your bank, the matching balance and its bonus are taken off or held until the matter is settled.

  5. Retries and stored results

To retry a call safely, send it again with the same Idempotency-Key and the same parameters. Within 24 hours this returns the stored result and is not charged a second time. A new key or changed parameters make a new call, charged as one. The SDKs and the command-line tool send the key for you.

The result of a call is kept for 24 hours and can be read again by its request_id at no charge. After that it is deleted, and the charge for the original call stands. Content that has been blocked for a rights or safety reason is not served from a stored result either. Keep the results you are entitled to keep yourself: the service is not an archive.

  6. Data and content rights

We retrieve and normalize publicly visible data. We do not own the underlying content and do not sell rights in it. A result is normalized data within the scope its endpoint describes, not a guarantee of all content on a platform, of unlimited history or of fixed search rankings.

Results may involve copyright, trademarks, personal information and platform rules. Public availability does not create unrestricted republication, resale, database or model-training rights. You must establish rights for your intended use and meet the duties you owe your own users. We remain responsible for our own security, billing, choice of suppliers and handling of complaints; your obligations do not remove ours.

If content returned by the service affects your rights, file a complaint. You need no account to do so.

  7. Acceptable use

You must use the data lawfully, including the laws on personal data that apply to you. You may not use the service to build files on individuals, to harass or track a person, to send unsolicited messages, or to resell access to the service as it is. The full list is in the Acceptable use policy.

We may limit or suspend an account that breaks these rules, in proportion to the risk. Where we can, we tell you first and say how to ask for a review. An ordinary complaint, a billing question or a privacy request is never a ground for a restriction.

  8. Availability

The data comes from platforms we do not control, so an endpoint can slow down, change, return incomplete results or stop without notice. We test endpoints, pause the ones that fail, and publish their state on the status page. A paused endpoint accepts no calls and charges nothing.

We do not promise that any endpoint will always be available, and the service is provided as it is. There is no uptime agreement and no automatic compensation for an outage. We do not promise particular rankings, result counts or business outcomes.

Stable parts of the API only grow: fields and endpoints are added, not renamed or removed. Parts marked as preview may change, after notice in the changelog.

  9. Liability and disputes

We take reasonable steps to maintain the service and correct confirmed errors. Platform changes, your network or third-party failures may affect results, but do not automatically remove our responsibility for our own conduct. No exclusion removes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, or mandatory consumer rights.

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any single event or series of related events will not exceed the fees you actually paid us for the service in the 12 months before the dispute arose. This cap does not apply to liability that cannot lawfully be limited or to our intent or gross negligence.

You may contact support@dataxapi.com to discuss a dispute. Doing so is not a prerequisite to seeking remedies from your bank, a regulator or a court. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA. If mandatory law where you live, including consumer-protection rules, gives you greater protection, that protection is not affected by this clause. These Terms do not require mandatory arbitration or a waiver of statutory remedies.

  10. Closing an account, changes and contact

You can ask for your account to be deleted, or for a copy of your data, from Settings in the Console. Staff handle the request and answer by email; the Privacy policy describes how. Any balance left when an account is closed is not paid back. Closing an account does not delete copies of data that you or others have already downloaded.

If we discontinue the service, we give notice and explain what happens to accounts and balances.

When these Terms change, the new version is posted here with its date and listed in the changelog. Using the service after that date means you accept it. A change does not take away rights in a transaction that is already complete. Both language versions intend the same rules, and an ambiguity between them must not reduce a mandatory right.
