How do I connect WeChat Official Account data to Dify? (MCP, 2026)
2 ways: add https://api.dataxapi.com/mcp under Integrations, Tools, MCP in Dify with your key in a header, so an Agent can read accounts, or call the article list from a workflow's HTTP Request node at $0.0200 an account. Finding an account, listing its articles and reading 3 of them comes to $0.10, and the model is paid for apart. DataXAPI reads WeChat Official Accounts with 8 endpoints, from $0.0200 a call; a failed call is not charged.
1. Go to Integrations, Tools, MCP and add an MCP server. Dify takes servers with HTTP transport, which this is. URL is https://api.dataxapi.com/mcp, Name is DataXAPI, Server Identifier is dataxapi. Under Advanced Options, Custom Headers, set Authorization to Bearer and your key.
2. Make an Agent app, or an Agent node in a workflow, and pick the DataXAPI tools. Then ask: “Use DataXAPI to find this Official Account, list its latest articles and summarise 3 of them.”
Keep the identifier once it is set: Dify's apps refer to the server by it, and changing it stops the tools in those apps. Custom headers came in Dify 1.9.0, so a self-hosted Dify older than that lacks this field. Whoever in the workspace uses this server spends this key, so give it a daily limit.
In a fixed workflow: HTTP Request node
1. Add an HTTP Request node: GET https://api.dataxapi.com/v1/wechat_mp/accounts/articles/list, with the parameter id set to the account's original ID. For authorization choose API Key, then Bearer, and enter your key.
2. The articles are in data.items of the response body, each with id, title, url and published_at. Compare id with what you stored to keep the new ones.
3. For the full text, another node: GET https://api.dataxapi.com/v1/wechat_mp/articles/get with url set to the article's link, at $0.0200 an article. Only know an account's name? wechat.accounts.search finds the original ID, once.
What it comes to
That question is one wechat.accounts.search at $0.0200, one wechat_mp.accounts.articles.list at $0.0200 and three wechat_mp.articles.get at $0.0200, $0.10. 100 such questions are $10. In the fixed workflow, 5 accounts once a day are 150 calls a month, $3. An Agent decides how many calls to make, so its bill can differ; a failed call is not charged. These steps follow Dify's documents as read on 2026-11-04; its screens may differ in your version.
