How do I save WeChat Official Account articles to Obsidian automatically? (2026)
1 article is $0.0200: read its title and text with wechat_mp.articles.get, write them to a .md file in your vault's folder, and Obsidian picks it up by itself. 10 accounts checked once a day, with 60 new articles a month, come to $7.20 a month. The text comes without images or headings. DataXAPI reads WeChat Official Accounts with 8 endpoints, from $0.0200 a call; a failed call is not charged.
Obsidian's help says it stores notes as Markdown plain text files in a vault, that a vault is a folder on your local file system, and that it refreshes the vault automatically to keep up with changes made outside it. So any script or AI client that can write a file to that folder can add a note. Its sync, through Obsidian Sync, iCloud, Dropbox, Git and others, then carries it like any other note.
Which field goes where
text is the article without its markup, so what lands in the file is plain words in a Markdown file, not the laid-out article: no images, no headings, no bold. Keep the link at the top, to get back to the original.

Running it every day
Find each account's original ID once with wechat.accounts.search. Then, on a schedule, call wechat_mp.accounts.articles.list for each account, about 10 articles a page, and compare each item's id with those you stored. For each new one, pass its url to wechat_mp.articles.get and write the file. cron or launchd can run it, on a machine that can reach the vault's folder.
Or tell an AI client that has DataXAPI connected and can write files: “Every morning take the new articles of these accounts, and save each one as Markdown in ~/Notes/WeChat, named by date and title, with the original link at the top.” Keep it out of the .obsidian folder, which holds the vault's settings.
