How do I export a WeChat Official Account's past articles in bulk? (2026)
WeChat's own interface only reads an account you run, and the old way through the back end has mostly stopped working since July 2026. To export another account's past articles, DataXAPI does it all on one key: list the articles by the account's original ID, read each full text by its link, then read its numbers and comments if you need them. DataXAPI reads WeChat Official Accounts with 8 endpoints, from $0.0200 a call; a failed call is not charged.
At about 10 articles a page, listing 500 takes about 50 calls: $0.0200 each, about $1. Full text for all 500 at $0.0200 each is $10, and their numbers at $0.0200 each another $10. So about $21 for everything, or about $1 if titles and links are all you need. A page often holds more than 10, so the list can come to less.
Good to know
The numbers endpoint takes the long link, which the article list gives. The numbers are as they stand now, not a history. A count WeChat shows as 100,000+ comes back as 100001, marked approximate as a lower limit.
What you read is public, and being able to read it does not give you the right to republish it. Keep what you do with it within the law and the account's rights.
