How do I send WeChat Official Account articles to an ima knowledge base automatically? (2026)
10 accounts checked once a day come to $6 a month: read each account's new article links with wechat_mp.accounts.articles.list, at $0.0200 a check, and hand them to import_urls in ima's own Skill, which takes 1 to 10 links at a time. By hand, ima imports articles one by one from inside WeChat. DataXAPI reads WeChat Official Accounts with 8 endpoints, from $0.0200 a call; a failed call is not charged.
By hand: a guide in ima.copilot's channel says to open the article in WeChat, tap “…” at the top right, choose “更多打开方式”, then the “ima 知识库” mini program.
Automatically: ima's agent page gives a Client ID and an API Key and lists importing into a knowledge base among the Skill's functions. The knowledge-base part of the ima-skills package on Tencent's SkillHub (v1.1.10 when we read it) has import_urls for web pages and WeChat articles, with knowledge_base_id, folder_id (the knowledge base's ID for its top level) and urls, 1 to 10 of them. ima's limits and any charge of its own are as ima states them.
Four steps
1. Make the list. Find each account's original ID with wechat.accounts.search and keep it in a file: 10 accounts at $0.0200 each is $0.20, once.
2. Get ima's key from its agent page, and keep it out of anything you share.
3. Check on a schedule. Call wechat_mp.accounts.articles.list for each account and compare each item's id with what you stored. New ones are what to import.
4. Import. Send the new items' url to import_urls, 10 at a time. Its answer has a ret_code for each link: keep those that did not go through for the next round.
We wrote step 4 from ima's document and have not run it, so try a few articles first. Or put both on one AI client: install ima's Skill, connect DataXAPI, and say “Every morning take the new articles of these accounts and import their links into my 行业研究 knowledge base.”
Keeping the words yourself
wechat_mp.articles.get gives the title and the text without markup, at $0.0200 an article. It suits you if you want to summarise or filter first, or keep a copy of your own. ima's Skill can also write a note (import_doc) and add it to a knowledge base (add_knowledge with media_type=11).
