What is fakeid for a WeChat Official Account? (2026)
As of 2026 fakeid is the ID that stands for an account in the Official Account back end's search and article list. The author of wechat-article-exporter treats it as the same value as __biz. DataXAPI does not take it: its account endpoints take the original ID, which you can find from a name at $0.0200, with no back end and no login. DataXAPI reads WeChat Official Accounts with 8 endpoints, from $0.0200 a call; a failed call is not charged.
Tutorials on exporting another account's articles start from it: log in to your own Official Account's back end, search for the account, and use its fakeid. Since 2026-07-30 tools on that route have reported ret=200013 on the first page, and the author of a well-known one says the interface was closed. We found no announcement from WeChat, so that is his judgement.
If you would rather not deal with it
You need the original ID instead, and you can get it two ways. From a name: wechat.accounts.search, where each result's id is it. From an article link: wechat_mp.articles.get, where author.id is it. Then wechat_mp.accounts.articles.list gives a page of articles at $0.0200. A __biz value put there is refused before anything is charged.
