How do I check keyword trends in the WeChat Index, in bulk? (2026)
20 keywords come to $2 a round: wechat.index.keywords.history gives a keyword's WeChat Index over the last 30 days, one figure a day, at $0.1 a word. For a few words by hand, WeChat's own “微信指数” mini program is enough. DataXAPI reads WeChat Search with 6 endpoints, from $0.0200 a call; a failed call is not charged.
WeChat's own page for it says “微信指数已升级为小程序” (the WeChat Index has become a mini program) and shows a code to open it, as we read it on 2026-11-04. So you look words up inside WeChat. For dozens of words, or a table kept over time, take them by key.
What the two endpoints give
wechat.index.keywords.history takes one keyword a call and returns points: each date with its composite_index. The range is the last 30 days and cannot be chosen, so for a longer line read each word once a month and keep what you get: 12 × $0.1, $1.20, for a year of one word.
wechat.keywords.related gives what WeChat Search suggests in its box for a word, about 10, in the order it lists them. Words and places only, with no index: pick from them, then read the index of those you want. One seed word and its 10 suggestions come to 11 calls at $0.1: $1.10.
How to read it
The WeChat Index is WeChat's score of attention across its search, articles, Moments and more. It is not a number of searches, and it cannot be compared with Douyin's or Xiaohongshu's. Compare a word with itself over time, or with other words on WeChat. Days are calendar days in China time (UTC+8).
With an AI that has DataXAPI connected: “Read the WeChat Index of these 5 words and tell me which rose in the last 30 days, and on which days they jumped.” That is 5 calls: $0.50. A jump is worth checking against what happened that day: wechat.posts.search with the word shows what was being written.

Each with its price; every page has the parameters, the fields and a recorded response.
