Which Douyin API should I use for search, accounts and comments? (2026)
3 endpoints cover the usual jobs: with a keyword, douyin.videos.search at $0.0200; with an account's link, douyin.users.videos.list at $0.0020; with a video, douyin.videos.comments.list at $0.0020. Choose Douyin's open platform when your own users sign in and authorise your app. DataXAPI reads Douyin with 36 endpoints, from $0.0020 a call; a failed call is not charged.

How it differs from Douyin's open platform
The open platform's joining page is mainly for companies, sole proprietors, government bodies, public institutions and social organisations, each with papers to show. Its OpenAPI list starts from an access_token, described as the credential for what a user has authorised. Its page on video search says that ability is experimental and not open at present.
So it suits an app that signs people in with Douyin and works with their own accounts, which DataXAPI does not do: it cannot post, and it reads no private data. DataXAPI reads public videos, accounts and comments with one key, with no app to register and no account of yours.
What a study comes to
10 keywords at $0.0200 a page give about 80 videos, for $0.20. 5 pages of comments under 20 of them are 100 calls at $0.0020, $0.20, for about 2,000 comments. So $0.40. The latest page of 20 competitors' videos adds 20 × $0.0020, $0.04.
