What is ttwid on Douyin? (2026)

As of 2026, ttwid is a cookie on Douyin's web pages. We found no public explanation from Douyin; the open-source f2 project calls it a value requests must carry and manages it with msToken. With a data API you do not fetch or keep it: you give a link or a keyword, and a video's details are $0.0020. DataXAPI reads Douyin with 36 endpoints, from $0.0020 a call; a failed call is not charged.

Why you run into it

You see it in the Cookie header of a Douyin request, or in the settings of a tool you run yourself. DouyinLiveRecorder's Douyin requests carry one, and f2 reads it from an answer's cookies and tells you to update its setting when the check does not pass. It usually comes up with msToken and a_bogus, which are separate things. How it is obtained is not something we cover.

If you would rather not deal with it

Send your key and the parameters the endpoint lists: url for douyin.videos.get at $0.0020, url for douyin.videos.comments.list at $0.0020 a page, query for douyin.videos.search at $0.0200 a page. No cookie of yours. 500 videos read by link come to $1, and a failed call is not charged.

Endpoints

Each with its price; every page has the parameters, the fields and a recorded response.
