What are Weibo mid, uid and bid? (2026)
A uid is a user's number, the digits after weibo.com/u/ (for example 2803301701); a mid is one post's number; a bid is the same post written in letters and digits in its desktop link, the part after weibo.com/uid/. DataXAPI reads a post by its number, or any of its links pasted into url as it is, at $0.0020 a call. DataXAPI reads Weibo with 11 endpoints, from $0.0020 a call; a failed call is not charged, and the free trial covers up to 333 calls.

Where each sits in a link
In a phone link, the part after m.weibo.cn/detail/ or /status/ is usually the mid.
| ID | Example | Where |
|---|---|---|
| uid (user) | 2803301701 | weibo.com/u/2803301701 |
| mid (post, digits) | 5352571897120856 | Phone links; the id endpoints return |
| bid (post, letters and digits) | About 9 letters and digits | The last part of a desktop link, weibo.com/uid/… |
What if I don't want to convert?
There is no need. weibo.posts.get and weibo.posts.comments.list take url: a desktop link ending in digits or letters, a phone link, or the whole share text. In the answer, id is the mid and author.id the uid, ready for the next call.
Why DataXAPI
- Steady: endpoints were available 99.9% of the last 30 days, on a public status page you can check.
- Fast: a paid call took 1.6 seconds at the median over the last 7 days (counted 2026-11-06).
- Fewer tokens: across 11 endpoints on Weibo, one recorded real response each, the platform's own JSON comes to 551k tokens and what an AI reads through DataXAPI's MCP server to 17k, 97% fewer; the JSON of a direct API call is 94% fewer too (counted 2026-11-06). Every platform answers in one shape: the author in
author, counts inmetrics, the next page inpage.next_cursor, so another platform needs no new parser. - See before you pay: every endpoint's page shows a recorded real response, field by field.
- Spending you control: a failed call is not charged; each key can have a limit,
X-Max-Pricecaps one call, and the sameIdempotency-Keywithin 24 hours is never charged twice. - Ready for AI: a remote MCP server listed in the official MCP registry as
com.dataxapi/mcp, usable from Claude, Cursor and ChatGPT. - Free trial of up to 333 calls, no card.
