# What are Weibo mid, uid and bid? (2026)

A uid is a user's number, the digits after weibo.com/u/ (for example 2803301701); a mid is one post's number; a bid is the same post written in letters and digits in its desktop link, the part after weibo.com/uid/. DataXAPI reads a post by its number, or any of its links pasted into url as it is, at $0.0020 a call. ## Where each sits in a link

In a phone link, the part after m.weibo.cn/detail/ or /status/ is usually the mid.

## What if I don't want to convert?

There is no need. `weibo.posts.get` and `weibo.posts.comments.list` take `url`: a desktop link ending in digits or letters, a phone link, or the whole share text. In the answer, `id` is the mid and `author.id` the uid, ready for the next call.
