This example as a JSON file

curl -G "https://api.dataxapi.com/v1/x/users/get" \
  --data-urlencode "id=11348282" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $DATAXAPI_API_KEY"
from dataxapi import DataXAPI

dx = DataXAPI()  # reads DATAXAPI_API_KEY
result = dx.x.users.get(id="11348282")
print(result["data"]["item"])
import { DataXAPI } from "@dataxapi/sdk";

const dx = new DataXAPI(); // reads DATAXAPI_API_KEY
const result = await dx.x.users.get({ id: "11348282" });
console.log(result.data.item);
dataxapi call x.users.get id=11348282
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "dataxapi": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://api.dataxapi.com/mcp",
      "headers": {
        "Authorization": "Bearer ${DATAXAPI_API_KEY}"
      }
    }
  }
}

Add this to your MCP client, then ask your agent to call x.users.get.

Parameters

idtextgive exactly one of id, username, ids

X user ID, a string of digits. Example: 11348282.

usernametextgive exactly one of id, username, ids

X handle, without the @. Example: NASA.

idslist of textgive exactly one of id, username, ids

Several X user IDs, each a string of digits. Example: ["11348282","415859364"]. At most 100 in one request.

viewtext

How much of each item to return. All three cost the same. Values: compact, standard (default), full.

fieldslist of text

Return only these fields. Each by its path, such as author.name.

A request with ids is a POST with a JSON body; every other request is a GET.

Known limits

  • One object per call: there is nothing to page.
  • Up to 100 objects come back in one call with ids; there is no next page.

Returned fields

data.item is one account object. Stable: fields are only ever added. With ids the answer is data.items, and what was not found is listed in data.missing.

If the object does not exist

The answer is 404 not_found and nothing is charged. reason says which: not_found (it does not exist) or private_or_deleted.

With ids, each ID that was not found is listed in data.missing with the reason, and the rest come back; when none is found the result is empty and nothing is charged.
