Usage notes

Good for

Use it when a root comment is known and you need its public replies.

Not for

Do not use it to discover root comments or for full archives.

Known limitations

Only the first page, up to 20 replies, is returned.
Deleted, private, or restricted content is absent.
Nested objects such as the author are returned as upstream sends them, minus tokens, account-binding flags, privacy settings, and tracking fields; avatar and media links inside them may expire.
