# Douyin keyword index lookup (巨量算数)

Type a keyword and see its search index on Douyin day by day, from the platform's own trend-index tool (巨量算数), with the averages of this period, the one before and a year earlier. One lookup is one call: $0.0060 from your own balance, the same price as the API. A failed lookup is not charged.

It looks at the last 30 days, up to yesterday: the platform publishes a day or two late.

## What the numbers mean

- Search index: Douyin's own score of how much a keyword is searched. It is a score of volume, not a count of searches, so compare keywords and days with each other, not with other platforms.
- Composite index: The same answer also carries the composite index, which adds how much the keyword appears in videos and comments. The API returns both; this page charts the search index.
- Averages: The daily average of the period you asked for, of the same number of days just before it, and of the same dates a year earlier.
- Days: Calendar days in China time (UTC+8). The platform publishes a day or two late: a day it has no figure for yet comes back as `null`, not as zero.

## Questions

### Why do I need to sign in?

Each lookup is a real call and costs $0.0060. Nothing on this site makes a call for a visitor who is not signed in. Signing in takes an email address, and the lookup then runs on your own balance.

### Is this the same as 巨量算数?

The numbers are the ones 巨量算数 shows for the keyword. This page asks for them without a Douyin advertiser account and returns them in one fixed shape.

### Can I compare several keywords?

By API, yes: one call takes up to five keywords and returns one series for each that the index covers. A keyword it does not cover is left out of the answer.

### How far back does it go?

This page looks at the last 30 days. The API takes any start and end date.
