# WeChat returns ret=200013 freq control when listing an account's articles: what now? (2026) From 2026-07-30, tools that list other accounts' articles through the Official Account back end got ret=200013 on the first page. The author of the best-known one says the interface was closed, so slowing down or waiting is unlikely to help. To go on, use a data API that does not depend on your account's back end. DataXAPI reads WeChat Official Accounts with 8 endpoints, from $0.0200 a call; a failed call is not charged. Updated 2026-11-04 ## What happened wechat-article-exporter's users reported `200013:freq control` on the morning of 2026-07-30, and its README now says the project has stopped: the interface it stood on was closed by WeChat and is unlikely to reopen. Other open-source tools have the same reports. We found no announcement from WeChat, so that it was closed is the tool author's judgement, not an official statement. ## What you can do With a data API you give the account's original ID and get a page of its articles: title, digest, link and time. Your own account, its back end and a login are not involved. Only know the name? Find the original ID first. Then read the full text and the reads of the articles you want. ## Endpoints - [WeChat Official Account articles](https://dataxapi.com/apis/wechat_mp/accounts/articles/list/) ($0.0200 / a call): Get a page of the articles a WeChat Official Account published, newest first: title, digest, link, time published. - [WeChat Official Account live search](https://dataxapi.com/apis/wechat/accounts/search/) ($0.0200 / a call): Find WeChat Official Accounts and service accounts for search terms through WeChat Search, closest first, possibly followed by less related ones: original ID, WeChat ID, name, bio, avatar, whether verified, owner, number of original articles. Charged per call; no followers or reads, for estimates of those use wechat_mp.accounts.search. - [WeChat Official Account article detail](https://dataxapi.com/apis/wechat_mp/articles/get/) ($0.0200 / a call): Get one WeChat Official Account article by its link: title, text, time published, the account's name and IDs. - [WeChat Official Account article stats](https://dataxapi.com/apis/wechat_mp/articles/metrics/) ($0.0200 / a call): Get the current counts of a WeChat Official Account article by its long link: reads, likes, recommends, shares, saves, comments. ## How-to guides - [How to list a WeChat Official Account's past articles](https://dataxapi.com/guides/wechat-official-account-articles/) ## Sources What this page says of other services is from their own pages and documents, read on 2026-11-04.
