# What WeChat data APIs are there? Official Accounts, Channels and WeChat Search (2026)

DataXAPI has 29 WeChat endpoints on one key: 8 for Official Accounts, 15 for Channels and 6 for WeChat Search. WeChat's own interface only manages an account you run, and most social data APIs have no WeChat at all, or only a few endpoints. DataXAPI reads WeChat Official Accounts with 8 endpoints, from $0.0200 a call; a failed call is not charged.

## Official Accounts: from finding an account to its comments

Each step takes what the step before it gives, so one link or one account name is enough to begin.

## Channels: accounts, videos, comments, collections, replays

Find an account by name or videos by keyword; then an account's videos, a video's details, numbers and comments, an account's collections and live replays, and a share link that opens in WeChat. Three of the 15 are backup versions: the same parameters and result from another source, priced on their own.

## WeChat Search: articles, videos, index, suggestions, mini programs

Search articles and videos across WeChat by keyword, find accounts, read a keyword's WeChat Index for the last 30 days, get the suggestions under a keyword, and find mini programs. One of the 6 is a backup version.

## What it takes

A key. No WeChat account, login or cookie of yours is used, there is no app to register, and what is read is what anyone can see in public. Paste one sentence to your AI, or call it from your own code.

- [WeChat Official Account article stats](https://dataxapi.com/apis/wechat_mp/articles/metrics/) ($0.0200 / a call): Get the current counts of a WeChat Official Account article by its long link: reads, likes, recommends, shares, saves, comments.
- [WeChat Official Account article comments](https://dataxapi.com/apis/wechat_mp/articles/comments/list/) ($0.0200 / a call): Get a page of the featured comments on a WeChat Official Account article by its link: text, commenter, likes, reply count, time posted, IP location.
- [WeChat Official Account comment replies](https://dataxapi.com/apis/wechat_mp/comments/replies/list/) ($0.0200 / a call): Get the replies under one comment on a WeChat Official Account article, by the comment's ID and the article's link: text, replier, likes, time posted, IP location, which reply each answers. The first batch only; no further pages.

Charged per account; limit sets how many (5 by default, at most 15). Needing the ID and not the estimates, wechat.accounts.search, charged per call, costs less.

- [WeChat Channels account search](https://dataxapi.com/apis/wechat_channels/users/search/) ($0.0600 / a call): Find WeChat Channels accounts by name: the name has to match exactly, and every account of that name is returned, with its ID, name, signature, avatar, whether it is verified and what the verification says. The ID can be passed to the Channels profile, video list, live replay and other endpoints.

- [WeChat Channels video search](https://dataxapi.com/apis/wechat_channels/videos/search/) ($0.0200 / a call): Get a page of WeChat Channels videos for search terms through WeChat Search, by relevance, newest or hottest, filtered by time posted: description, the account's name and avatar, time published, likes and saves, length, cover. WeChat Search gives no account ID, and a video's ID is an encrypted one starting with export/: given as export_id to wechat_channels.videos.get it yields the numeric ID, the video file's address and the key that decrypts it; it expires, so use it soon.
