# What are did and kww on Kuaishou? (2026)

As of 2026, did is a cookie on Kuaishou's web pages and kww a value sent with some of its requests. We found no public explanation from Kuaishou; an article reads did as a device ID, and one open-source client sends kww from a cookie called kwfv1. With a data API you handle neither: a video's details are $0.0020. DataXAPI reads Kuaishou with 8 endpoints, from $0.0020 a call; a failed call is not charged.

## Why you run into them

They come up when your own program reads Kuaishou. DouyinLiveRecorder's Kuaishou requests carry a cookie like `did=web_…`. dart_simple_live, a live-stream client, reads `did` from the cookie and sends a `Kww` header, and its code comment calls `kwfv1` a value generated by Kuaishou's web client. KS-Downloader asks for Kuaishou's web cookie and says no login is needed for it. How they are produced is not something we cover.

Each job is one call, and no cookie of yours goes in. A video from its link: `kuaishou.videos.get`, $0.0020. Its comments: `kuaishou.videos.comments.list`, $0.0020 a page. Search: `kuaishou.videos.search`, $0.0200 a page. An account's videos: `kuaishou.users.videos.list`, $0.0200 a page. 5 keywords searched once a day come to $3 a month, and the first page of comments on 100 videos to $0.20. A failed call is not charged.
