# Can WeChat Channels comments be exported? (2026)

Yes: 3 pages of comments under each of 10 videos come to about $0.68, for about 720 comments, through wechat_channels.videos.comments.list at $0.0200 a page. Each comment has its text, commenter's name, likes, time and IP location. We found no comment export in the Channels assistant's own description. DataXAPI reads WeChat Channels with 15 endpoints, from $0.0150 a call; a failed call is not charged.

## What WeChat's own tools say

The Channels assistant's page describes comments under interaction management: browsing them, managing them and replying. Its download wording is under the data centre, for videos' detailed data. The list of the assistant's API covers live records, shop windows, lead forms, live dashboards and a sales compass, with no endpoint for a video's comments. That is what the two pages say; we could not log in to look further.

## How to export them

1. Get the videos. `wechat_channels.users.search` finds the account by its exact name, at $0.0600, and `wechat_channels.users.videos.list` gives about 15 videos a page, at $0.0200. `metrics.comments` shows which videos are worth reading.

2. Only have a share link? `wechat_channels.videos.get` takes it, at $0.0200, and its `id` is the video's ID.

3. Export. `dataxapi call wechat_channels.videos.comments.list id=VIDEO_ID --pages 3 --max-spend 0.06 --out comments.json`, about 24 comments a page. It is JSON, which a few lines of code or your AI turn into a CSV or an Excel file. Or tell your AI: “Take 3 pages of comments under these videos and make a spreadsheet, without the commenters' names.” `view=full` adds the IP location.

## Good to know

The list holds top-level comments, without a count of each one's replies. Replies are a separate call, `wechat_channels.comments.replies.list`, about 10 a page, with the comment's `id` and its `post_id`. A commenter has a name and an avatar, and `author.id` is an anonymous ID that opens no account. DataXAPI reads public data only. Leave names out of what you analyse and share.
